I am delighted to have written a chapter for the exciting new book 'Biological Invasions and Animal Behaviour', edited by Judith Weis and Daniel Sol. The book explores the many ways in which behaviour affects biological invasions - and how in some cases it explains why some species are more successful than others. My chapter (coauthored with Anne Magurran) focuses on the Trinidadian guppy as a model species, and what we can learn about the importance of behaviour to invasive success in general by looking at how it contributes to the guppy's global spread. Details on purchasing the book can be found here . To read or download our chapter, see below. |
